NBA Playoffs: Round 1 Chicago - Philladelphia

In the NBA (National Basketball Association) the most important time of the year has come: The NBA playoffs! This means that the first eight spots in the Eastern and the Western Conference will play eachother in a 'best of seven' for a beloved spot in the NBA finals.

In this year's playoffs, which has been going on for a week, a lot had happened already. For example, the Philladelphia Sixers are playing the number one spot in the East, the Chicago Bulls, and their phenomenal superstar Derrick Rose. Unfortunately the Bulls saw their star going down hard on his knee in game 1 of the series. Luckily for them, they were still able to take the first game of the series which gave them the 1-0 advantage. The news they were about to hear wasn't what they'd hoped for. Rose would be out for the rest of the season, so they would finish the playoffs without him. Rose dissapeared into the locker room which threw their hopes on winning the championship away.

Ofcourse this wasen't bad news for everybody. The sixers, (the team they were taking on) saw their chances of advancing to the next round grow bigger. Known as the underdog of the series, the Sixers were able to take advantage of the Bulls' bad luck and took game two in Chicago. Game three would be played in Philladelphia, which gave the Sixers an even bigger opportunity to win game three and take an 1-2 advantage. The Bulls weren't quite ready to give up, so they realy tried to fight back in game four, which was also played in Philladelphia. At the end it just wasn't enough, the Bulls also lost game four and the dissapointment grew bigger.

Chicago was known as the league's favorite, and even with their star player out, many still believed that the Bulls would win the series and send the Sixers home, and so did the Bulls. After a rallying game five, the Bulls would finaly edge the Sixers to overcome a season ending game that night.

Eventually game six will decide wether the Sixers will advance to the next round, or the Bulls will force a game seven which would be played in Chicago. The Sixers could make a statement in game six by advancing to the second round of the playoffs, which would be the first time since they made the finals with Allen Iverson as their keyplayer back in the year 2000. I think it's pretty obvious that this will be an important game.
